Garrett
(aka Stephen Russell) has written
(and Directs) a production for kids
(down the page in the link below) that hopefully some from the TTLG family will get the chance to go experience it.
I'd do it just for the opportunity to possibly meet him and get an autograph - which would have to be on a
Thief the Dark Project box and would ask him to also sign
"Garrett" below his pic if he'd agreed to do so:

written and directed by
Stephen RussellJuly 7 through August 27, Monday - Thursday at 7:30pm at WHAT (WellFleet Harbor Actors Theater)
Puss in Boots tells the story of a poor miller's son who inherits the family cat. But this is no ordinary cat, this is the enterprising, erudite adventurer and swordsman, Ocelot Ugg, who quickly puts in motion a plan to turn poor Jean-Claude into the rich Marquis de Carabas. Like past W4K shows, Daisy Crockett, The Fool of the World and the Flying Ship and The Very Sad Tale of the Late Mr. Stiltskin this production will feature music, comedy and swashbuckling derring-do in equal measures.(

:cool::cool::cool:
I was wondering if any of us would ever be able to swing by W.H.A.T. and check out his favorite digs and maybe catch one of his gigs.
Of course, I really hope the show is enjoyable for you so you don't come across as someone who only went there because of his voice work.:sly:
Hopefully you have a journalistic bent and can share everything with us, so we can live vicariously through your experience.:cheeky:
Thanks for the SR news!

Stephen Russell has been the W4K Impresario since the first season in 2002. Other plays for young audiences include Rapunzel, Marion of Sherwood, The Wild Swans, The Colony of the Cats, The Three Sillies, The Very Sad Tale of the Late Mr. Stiltskin, Xenia Hedgehog's Academy of Etiquette for Naughty Boys and Girls and Daisy Crockett, Frontiersperson! He has been a mainstay on the mainstage of WHAT for over 20 years and has also acted with the Huntington Theatre Company, New Repertory Theatre, Stoneham Theatre and the Lyric Theatre. He can be seen in the feature film The Golden Boys, aka Chatham. He lives and works in Wellfleet and is a proud member of Actors' Equity and the Screen Actors Guild. "

Oh good, he got his SAG card! That means he worked at least as an extra, or better, in three films, and we know of three films he's been in (Chatham/Golden Boys, Nöelle, and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past), so now he's allowed to do bigger projects, bigger roles, etc.
And this is, by one side, a very sad thing :tsktsk: because everyone of us wanted him to make special voices in out FM, and the Garrett voice in Thief 4, so this idea is going away increasingly...

Our friend Garrett
(I mean Stephen...lol) has another children's play scheduled in Wellfleet Harbor, MA if anyone wants to catch it. Would be curious to hear their feedback afterwards...

The year is 1194. Robin of Locksley and his band of merry, if not particularly bright, men, have turned outlaw to aid the the poor of 12th century Nottinghamshire. His mortal enemy, the Sheriff of Nottingham, has come up with a plan to capture Robin. The only person standing in the Sheriff's way just happens to be the fiercest fighter in all of England - especially when she's mad!In the style of last year's mega-hit, Puss in Boots, this year's full-length entertainment is bursting with action, humor and even a song or two! 7:30 All tickets $10

Man I would love to go, hearing and seeing him perform. I wanna go. :(

Aren't both stories about a thief of some sort..?
BrokenArts on 9/5/2010 at 17:15
Close enough I'd say. It would be cool, when listening to him. If he said a line, close to or similar in some way to Thief. I'd get a chill if he did that.
