Just finshed Thief: The Dark Project and was wondering about Garrett's eye....In the cut scenes you see his eye being taken and then at the end you see his mechanical eye but nothing in the middle to say how he got it...Do we all just assume the hammers gave it to him for destroying Constantine???

Well, there's more information about the mechanical eye in Thief 2, which I won't spoil for you in case you plan on playing it.
But, as far as the canonical fiction goes in Thief: TDP or Thief Gold goes, it's not specified where the eye came from.

I can't remember reading about it in Thief 2 but it has been a couple of years since I played it..

Someone in T2 tells you where he got his replacement eye. Then you should play the Keeper of the Prophecies FM pack where you'll learn more about it. :thumb:

I thought he mentioned in the end of T1 that the hammers, [SPOILER]mostly one Karras,[/SPOILER] made it for him.

In TDS they mention that the hammerites gave him the eye after he smote down Karras, somewhere in the [SPOILER]Keeper Compound[/SPOILER]

Are you saying Garrett INTENTIONALLY hindered himself? Karras' mechanical eye was a virtually flawless replacement. I doubt Garrett would get rid of it on purpose simply because Karras made it.

1) I think you meant Constantine/The Trickster, not Karras.
2) Karras used to be a Hammerite.
3) The origin of the eye is first mentioned in Thief 2. Karras himself personally hands you the details in
Sabotage at Soulforge.

yes...the mechanical eye came from the keepers...they mention that in thief one if i remember it correctly...
i havent played it in a couple years so i may be wrong on this it may be thief 2
but bottom line it came from the keepers
