I don't think Garrett's stomach is as super as perviously made out to be, in DS, he doesn't eat anything, not even the apples. Thus, I must conclude that during the events of the third game, he's digesting. All those deer leg bones and apple cores are finally getting through. :joke:

That would've been my other theory - Garret's transdimensional digestive system. It has virtually unlimited amount of space where he can store food until it needs to be digested and waste materials until they can be conveniently disposed of.

Garret has no Bank Account.
I find this *beyond* strange. :weird:
Garret doesn't strike me as someone who would trust a bank, nor would the banks likely accept him(Hell, half the city seems willing to kill him on sight). The thief universe seems to be a cross between the middle ages and victorian era, and I'm not sure how much the average bloke used banks during either of those periods.

Also, Garrets world has no mode of transportation...there are roads...but no modes of transportation...yet they have many forms of energy available to them.
There are horses. We know that much from "Lord Baffords Manner". There are also boats.
In a city like the one garret lived in, you'd use horses or donkies or mules to pull carts or carriages. Those who couldn't afford a carriage walked. The city probably isn't that big. (In Ambush, we saw that Garret could cross a fairly big section of it withen a half an hour, despite barriers and police he's trying to avoid).

And finally, Garret has never contacted Leptospirosis considering the amount of time he spends in sewers.
Well, he doesn't spend that much time in the sewers, frankly(Song of the caverns, Ambush, THC, optional Lord Baffords). And they seem much cleaner then they should be in either the middle ages or victorian era.

The SuperLegs(TM) come in handy as well. Invauable for walking backwards up ladders.
Though I think Garrett's are defective. Gordan Freeman could fire his guns while facing the other way on a ladder.
Garret and he probably work out together or something. Now if they teamed up... it would be the
Pwnage Patrol.

Sorry to revive a 6 yr old thread, but it was too funny to pass up.
The fact that everyone has mentioned how garrett can store loads of equipment, yet the guards and nobles don't have pockets. They have to carry their valuables on their belt attached by a bit of string....
Also, everyone seems to have the same taste in clothes, artwork, interior design....
And even though garrett has been going for years, he's just as fit as he was when he was a child, climbing through a keeper's training...

Funny how "Garrett's unmentioned cool equipment" has a whole different meaning after 6 years of ThiefGen.
Garrett has a sexy voice. Viktoria is hot. Garrett's has cool "unmentioned equipment".

Garret
Who??
There is another item that I don't think has been mentioned:
A name of foe confusion: Anyone who wants Garrett to steal something can easily contact him, visit him at home, recognise him (and see him at all) in the street etc, yet anyone who wants to arrest or kill him just doesn't know where to begin. Even rival thieves can't get him.

The same Name of Foe Confusion is what causes so many misspellings of his name.

No, his name appears to be misspelt because the letters occasionally disappear, just like Garrett himself. Ever wonder who Garrett's landlord is and if he knows his tenant's identity? It seems strange that the possibility of dying in the clutches of a myriad of horrible monsters doesn't faze our Master Thief, yet he's worried about being evicted by the landlord.
