(

This has gotten some attention lately (Independent Games Fest) and I was wondering if you folks would have an interest.
<param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/foZp9ToBewA?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/foZp9ToBewA?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="390"></embed>
If anyone wants to do a writeup on the demo impressions or (even better) go for the full game and review it, I'd love to post something about this on the TTLG main page.

I've had my eye on this one too, looking forward to playing it (in a few months, when my backlist has cleared up even slightly).

For some reason that trailer reminds me a lot of Yahtzee's John DeFoe quadrilogy.

Well, it's not uncommon for one pixelated adventure game resemble another pixelated adventure game. Good series though.
This actually reminds me to finally play Beneath a Steel Sky all the way through. I think I got too frustrated over some pixel-hunting puzzle and quit last time.

well, I played it for 3 hours.
Apart from some bad voiceacting (not so much what they say but how) this game is fkn sweet.
Conspiracy mystery from the getgo you don't get much information about the time, culture,
politics, history and even the characters, you pick it up as you go.
But the first and foremost thing is clear. Azriel wants to rescue his Brother but for his own sake.
After some tutorialing you can take control of these 2 characters,
switching back and forth betwen the different locations they are in.
Azriel is a cop-investigating-JC-Denton guy without augs with a communicator
and backup by a pilot and his spaceship. His brother is trapped in an unknown location,
I won't ruin what/why because this is part of the mysteries in the plot.
The dialogues are competent, the characters a little on the cliche side (noirish) but still believable
in their motivations (atm). There is traditional point-and-clicking but some action and timelimits for
puzzles are thrown in which is not my kind of thing but done simple enough to not distract
or frustrate too long. The music is eeire and lowfi, I like it very much.
But the biggest draw for me atm is the story, it does not seem a very original one
but it has all the ingredients of a good noirish scfi mystery with a deus ex touch
if it can keep escalating things like this in the next chapters.
I hope they don't ruin it by introducing a ridiculous bad guy further down,
atm the evil has no face.
Ah, and they throw in some popculture references to movies and literature
in some of the dialogue. 12 Monkeys stood out as the best of them.
Let's see if they change up the gameplay further down but I am already won over.

I think it looks EXACTLY like Beneath a Steel Sky.

Someone crossposted this on FB and I perked up immediately. It looks awesome, seriously trying to hold myself back since I haven't finished a game in six months but this looks too tempting.
