I'm not sure if a thread already exists for this, but (
http://geocities.yahoo.com/) Geocities is apparently ending in a month or so. What is the community doing to save the content of some thief-related sites currently hosted by Geocities? Is someone compiling a database somewhere? Some sites, such as NV's, have a lot of useful stuff on them; it would be a shame to loose it.

Surely if someone has an old Geocities site they can just get a new free site, there's tons of them out there.

Yes, but will they do it? Some of the sites have not been updated in a while. And perhaps the authors are not aware of the shutdown?

Maybe this'll see a turnaround like Filefront did.

I have a piece of software that can replicate a site, so if anyone need thier backed up let me know.

I think the point is that some of the people who created these sites no longer have anything to do with them. If these sites are to be saved for posterity, someone needs to do a backup and host them--or they will be lost.
I can't host or else I'd volunteer to do the work. But I do volunteer to help out if someone who's willing to do the hosting tells me what they need me to do.
My PMs are always open.

Which Thief sites are we talking about, specifically?

Yeah, I'd like to know too. I went through the list of FM author sites, and the only one that I saw under GeoCities was NV's. I don't think we're talking about that many sites here.
