list of sites on geocities
Ok half of those links are dead and Im doing a website replication of all the others, so at least they are backed up.

I still have all the source files for my website. A lot of it is very out-of-date, though, especially a number of the tutorials; I'd rather see someone transfer/rewrite all the property descriptions to The Dromesday Book.

Ok using a firefox addon called scrapbook, I mad a copy of the following sites that are still working, as all the other links are dead or missing data.
Wrichards Realm
The Mechanist tower (dark angel)
The Legend of Faceless
The Eyes Betrayal
The Bluecoats Training Facility
All of the above came to 8mb. Clearing is there are other thief sites that need saving..? as I wasnt able to browse geocities.com to check myself.

Scrapbook is much more intuitive and game me the option to limit the link tracking to the 1st domain(eg. (
www.geocities.com/thief) etc), which httrack didnt as far as I could see. Plus scrapbook worked within FF, easier all round.

Several sites should be involved for multiple backups since we can't really say that any of them will be around as long as we need/desire them to be. But the differences should definitely be noted, especially if a person needs to register to download, etc.

I'm living in two places, the one I'm at most has no connection (till I get satellite) and the one in Edinburgh with full 8mb.
Scrapbook is superb, so easy, seamless in FF and editing sites once captured is very easy.
I've tried a few others (but admittedly not HHtrack) and found nothing to come close.
