Germany will phase out nuclear power by 2022... - by Koki

Maybe they should allow wearing concealed guns in public to compensate for the loss of danger.

Well, we can still count on our neighbors (soon (
http://www.paa.gov.pl/en/) Poland too) to supply us with nuclear radiation...err power.
Koki on 31/5/2011 at 12:59
We already tried that twice and failed both times, so I wouldn't hold my breath.
Hesche on 31/5/2011 at 13:06
But isn´t that how it´s supposed to work in Poland? Try, fail miserably, blame politics and complain about the indiscipline of your fellow citizens. Then go on a mushroom foray.
Koki on 31/5/2011 at 13:41
Well, yes.

New, lucrative energy markets for France, and let us not forget coal lobbyists. Well done, hippies.

Not at all. Actually, Merkel always supported the nuclear industry.
But she wants to be re-elected eventually ;)

Hippies? That term suggests a spontaneous unplanned approach. NOTHING is spontaneous in Germany. We plan. We form committees with experts from all fields no matter if they are involved or not. Of course there has to be a procedure on how to appoint committee members. Only a complicated procedure will suffice. Then we discuss. Then somewhere down the road there finally is a result about which we need to complain thoroughly and perseveringly. That´s the stage at which we are right now.
Also we are very happy if a standard form could be created during this whole thing in order to speed up the whole process if we ever run into the same problem again.

Yeah, but the form would need like 3 or 4 councils with like 20 guys each all coming into agreement on what the form should actually say, and another ten councils to decide what the form actually does. It'd be a 5-year project.
