(

The free version is in the downloads section - and you get what you pay for in my opinion.
You'd be surprised what you can achieve with Anim8or if you practice.

HMM........recently i've found a trouble converting a beautyfull window object into .Bin.
the bsp program converter warning me that there is no coordinates for the texture on a mesh... what in the hell i can do to fix this problem ?
and another thing how to use the bsp utility correctly ?
there is a tutorial about it ?

This error happens when you have faces without coordinates.
To correct you need to select the face without coordinates and click in the uv button (in Anim8or). I don't know if there is simpler way to correct this. :p
I made something like a tutorial but I still need the name of the guys that made the programs to object conversion.
I think that most of them were made by Nameless Voice.
You can download the programs (

About "3ds to bin":
It is a program made to use small dos programs for object. They were made by many Thief masters [ I lost the names :-( ].
I placed "3ds to bin" and all the little programs that it need in a file called "proobj.zip".
I am not sure if all the little programs are there, sorry :-P.
1-Open proobj.zip
2-Unzip all the programs in your Thief 2 folder
*If it doesn't work or if "3ds to bin" need another program please tell me.
_______________________________________________________________
Tips about "3ds to bin" (You can find more in "3ds to bin.txt"):
Shader: Phong= Make the texture looks smoth (I don't know if this is the right word)
Gouraud= It isn't working :-P
Phong Gouraud= It isn't working :-P
Trans= Make the object transparent (%)
2-sided= Sometimes when you delete a face in Anim8or it will look in game "ok at one side but
trasparent at the other side". If you check "2-sided" it will correct the problem.
But it will render 2x more polygons in that texture :-P.

About .e files:
You can edit them useing notepad.
They are usefull when you just want to change the name of the textures or something this way.
____________________________________________________________________________________
About textures:
You can only use textures are 2x. Like: 32x32, 64x64, 128x128, 64x128, 32x256, 256x256,...
I am not sure, but I think that 256x256 is the max.

About scale in Anim8or:
1 unit in Anim8or = 1 unit in dromed
Normally my objects in Anim8or are too big in dromed. So I need to return to Anim8or and use the scale tool
to make them smaller.

really thank you Flecha but i've solved the trouble in another way.
This weekend i've learned something better with anim8or.
The problem was the object itself (that is a Ring design). it has not the inner side completed, so, probably, when i used the bsp something of weird happened.
Now the object is completed and is really nice to see. (may be i will post an image of it someday).
Anyway i'm downloading right now that file you suggest.
Sure it will be helpfull in other works.
It's amazing now i have the possibility to build by myself any kind of object that i need.
FInally i have the full power of control over my mission.
Anim8or is really a great program.
p.s. i have sucesfull created a window with trasparency.
p.s.s In anim8or when you create an object for thief you must reduce the scale of it many times... but is not so complicated as i though.
