I think is cool  What´s the poly on this oun?? :thumb: and where can i get it
Yandros on 19/6/2005 at 13:08
I'm assuming the head and footboards are done using textures with transparency... which means it's probably not as bad on polys as it looks.

Yeah I saw sluggs online here yesterday. It's great to know you're ok. :thumb:

Yah, I tried to keep the poly count to a minimum.
@ Nielsen74
I'll send it to you! The model is on it's way to your e-mail account. :thumb:

I think every FM needs one of these

Hubert aside, what do you guys think would be the best way to put strings in a harp? I made a lovely little harp frame... but failed to calculate how to do my strings. I was figuring one solid thing for the strings... but getting the shape right is going to make my head explode. And the cause for Huber's birth, but shhhh. What you more experienced peoples think?

Probably transparency, making each individual string might be too detailed. I'm not exactly sure though, that's just the advice of an anim8or newb.

It's really not a stretch for today's hardware if you have 7-8 small three-sided prisms on a harp for the strings.
Ottoj55 on 25/6/2005 at 16:08
the simplest shape would be a three sided n-gon, don't cap the start or stop, then "float" the end very close to the frame without touching to save on polygons and such. apply a semi see through texture to them. i would think its easier to make a 2d panel for the strings, and apply a texture to this, then set the texture to be semi see through. set the object alpha to 1 i believe in dromed so objects behind it still render through the transparent color.

Hur, should be good for an easteregg or two.
