Well done. :thumb: 3DS Max seems alot different to Anim8or from what's been said in your thread. Best of luck with future stuff taffer.
It seems that FM author's have lots of new objects to look forward to. Well, we were short of them! :D

LJT, are you using 3ds max or anim8or? the cup is really cool, i like the details at the top and base, only criticism, i would have used a rounder N-gon to start, maybe 12 sided so it looks rounder. but i'm partial to 12 sided n-gons

texture scaling? i want a texture to be applied to a surface of a model, it keeps stretching the texture to be about the size of the model, which is irratating. how do i scale the textures, and the scale option under component uv textures doesn't do anything.

Yes, texturing can be a pain in the butt sometimes. Say you want to texture a sphere, selecting half of it's faces and applying the texture, does not apply whole the texture on those faces. It gets stretched as it's really being applied to the whole model. :p
The best way is to split the model up into parts or use a program like UV Mapper to make a single texture fit the whole model, but that can be problematic as the final texture produced by UV Mapper can get squished, making it hard to edit in a paint program, since the final texture can be no larger than 256X256 :p
What i would do is split the object up, save it as two or more objects and texture each part seperately as a single object, then putting all the objects back together, like a Jigsaw. I would rather use this method than reverting to UV Mapper. As for UV Mapper, i have yet to use it myself for my models, i've only experimented with it.

i just went and created a single texture instead of several textures, works fine, but in future objects i'd like to not have such a restriction. i'll have to get uvmapper then.

Nice work guys, some awesome stuff.
Sluggs, I personally like that curved lamp the best. I think it fits into Thief really well, there were some fairly odd lights in it anyway, I think that just seems to match well.
Very nice lamp and apparition Eshaktaar.
I'm in a bind right now but hopefully LPG will get yet another update soon.

texture scaling?

With the UV tool selected, left-click rotates, right click moves, and middle-click scales the texture plane.
If you don't have a middle mousebutton (MMB) though, Alt+RMB should do the same.

anim8or has a "texture scale" option with u and v coordinates, i figured out that you tell it what the size of your texture is being applied to stretch it correctly, what i still don't know how to do is set a texture and repeat it across a surface, but i'll get to that eventually.
