Schwaa: A guide to using View.exe
1) Load the model (either in .3ds, .e, or .bin format) using 3ds2bin
2) Press either Alt-V (software render) , or Alt-Shift-V (Hardware render, fullscreen)
Also, there's a way to get View.exe to output a list of all its keyboard shortcuts, but I can't quite remember it offhand. There's a list of them in the View.exe readme I included in the 3ds2bin archive.
Yandros: That table is quite good, although the texturing doesn't look quite right. Darker wood, maybe?
Sluggs: Ah, Garden Rocks. Those should be useful for people who can't whip up a few bits of rubble as quickly (or quickishly) as I can.
NeKoeNMa: You need the Visual Basic 6.0 runtimes.

some bunk beds on the submarine, based on sluggs' designs,
edit: i added an improved looking sodium lamp to the ceiling, light is set to be very orange.
edit2: i created a bank of five parallel pipes with hangers for the ceiling of the sub.
thats three objects in a day, watch out sluggs
edit3: i added a triple pipe to each side of the center bank of pipes, the triple pipe is pipe05.bin cloned in anim8or so that i have three pipes moving together as a group and save on objects. make that 4 today.

once one rolls out, the next is so much easier, i'm working on the torpedos now. in real subs the rear crew quarters were in the aft torpedo room, nothing like sleeping with high explosives.
i'm also building some tanks of welding gas to repair the builders works.

Yeah, eventually I'd like SHTUP to include a nice detailed replacement for the clunky egg model.

i love anim8or! take a look above, updated the screenshot, i have torpedos in a rack, and free torpedos now.
