@ ZylonBane, i'd have no problem making that model but i'd have a giant problem making the texture for it! :o That would make a great Burrick Egg. :thumb:
@ Otto, I'm glad that you've decided to stick with Anim8or. I thought for a moment you was going to leave it for another program, you traitor! :cheeky: Don't forget that Anim8or will be even better soon as the author is working on the next version. :D
Nice show on the new screenie Otto. :thumb:

NV, I add that to the tut soon.
Sluggs, is that window breakable?
Sluggs on 10/9/2004 at 17:56
Nope! I had thought of making a breakable one after finishing it! :o I'll do just that and update the .zip file.

how would i pull off water? i want to make a toilet for the submarine, and it should have some liquid in it. i have the whole thing done and textured, just need a layer of water to set in it. i understand making it transparent, but how to make it appear to be water, i.e. move.
ZylonBane on 10/9/2004 at 23:08
Just make a transparent material and apply an animated texture to it (filename ends with a "_").
Ottoj55 on 10/9/2004 at 23:14
could you give me an example of a texture like this, i can't find one.

Select a ring of faces inside the pooper and detach them. Save the model first! Delete the pooper. Next select all the lines of this new object and select Edit/Fill Holes. If the holes don't fill, goto Edit/Merge Points and choose 0.01
After zat, delete the lower part of the new object until you have just a ring with one round face. Texture it and then save it. You can use one of T2's water textures for the job. Copy the object then load up your original pooper and paste the new object. It should be exactly in the right place now. After that, select both objects then select Build/Join Solids.

i'll give it a try in a bit, i'm checking the texture job on the body of the toilet now.
edit, some stuff from today, the toilet body and a cluster of gauges, combines two originals and 4 small ones i built based on originals to save on objects, this baby is a 6:1 savings on gauges! really needed in a submarine where there are lots of gauges.

You're moving along quickly Otto. You'll have this done in a matter of weeks! :wot:
BTW, I looked at your new objects. They're good but you gotta sort the texturing part out. You'll get there. :thumb:
