Apologies if this has been asked/answered already (don't quite have time to re-read all 23 pages of this thread!), but why do you have to detach faces in anim8or to texture them?

You don't, but it makes it alot easier if the texture doesn't require tweaking the UV coordinates.

a new ladder, its rather high poly, but bsp spat it out thankfully. its a rung style ladder more appropriate to ships, it comes in 8, 10 and 12 unit lengths.

Couldn't some of you AI modellers create some children? We have a serious lack of children in Thief. All we have is the Pagan Girl! :( I want to see children playing in Thief FM's. Has anyone thought of making some? I'm not even going to attempt making AI's yet! :eek:

sluggs, I was just going to try to find some models of children for a future FM. I second that wholeheartedly.

So if a single face is selected, it doesn't default to applying the whole texture?

Easy job. Just use meshscale with values x: 0.80 y: 0.80 and z:0.80. I think those are the values I'm using for the ghost childs.
