Reference Image
If you have a picture of an object you want to build you can load it into Anim8or as a gif/bmp/jpg.
Go to Build > Reference Image.
At the bottom, select Load, then find the file.
Once it loads you can reposition and stretch it. Although it has a yellow bounding box, it is not an object.
It's a great way to keep the proportions correct whilst simplifying the shape to keep down the polycount.

For me, the texture part is easy. It's just converting the AIs for thief 2. :tsktsk:
Otherwise, I would of had a couple of new AIs for my third mission. Anyway, I've got another new object done. It's a walkie talkie. If anyone wants it, just ask for it. :cheeky:
P.S. I'll give you some pics to preview it first.

Hmmm...
Maybe I should post the pics here so everybody will see it.
Who wants to post them up? :cheeky:
Like I said before, I'm giving this walkie talkie to anyone that wants it.

That's nice, G'len... I imagine Dark Arrow could use that in his haunted hospital mission.

Not exactly like the author's, some not-so-great proportions, but hey not bad for a first try. Didn't take too long either. :D Tried 3DS years ago and was just confounded.
Quick question - couldn't find this in the tutorial, or help, or this post. How does one deselect one of many items? So if I was using right click to multi-select, but accidently choose one wrong vertex, how to deselect it? Please don't tell me it's "start all over?" Surely he didn't leave that very basic and needed functionality out...
