Now I have to think of something worthwile to make that isn't too hard.

Actually, I just started making a simple compass. I need to find some good textures to use on it however. The regular colors look like crap when I put it into a rendered view.

@Speesh: Getting from Anim8or to Dromed is SO easy using NV's 3ds->bin utility! You should definitely check it out. I just launch it and it automatically loads up the most recent .3ds file in my Anim8or export directory, and I just click Go! and it drops the .bin in my T2\obj directory. You can also scale down when doing so to avoid having to do anything in Anim8or. I usually build at 10x and then scale at <0.1, 0.1, 0.1> in 3ds->bin.

I often find it hard to work out how it should be scaled (to build it at 10x the size, you have to know what the final size will be), so I converted an AI mesh to a 3ds and then saved an an8.
E.g. with my Wheelbarrow object, had I not imported an AI the handles would have been a little too far apart.
