@nameless voice, never mind my last pm, i solved the issues
my new blackjack replacement, a clawhammer, so vicious, but, there is an issue, the model was imported from gort's hammer, perhaps i screwed up, but there are holes in it, could there be another cause?
also, gort, if you can find the original .3ds for that hammer it would be great, if not i can make a new one for myself that is low poly, since the one converted back form the .bin is rather high poly.

The holes are an issue of the player arm rendering.
You'll notice it on alot of models if you look closely at them in block mode.
What happens is Dromed renders the hidden polys (backfacing) in front of the ones you should be able to see.
For example look at the hand. If you have polys for the tops of the fingers, which would be unseen by the player, they probably render in front of the thumb, handle.
So you have to figure out which polys the player can't see (in that pic- the top of the handle polys should be deleted). It also looks like there is a poly on the head underneatch the claws that is rendering over the claws (the big smeared yellow/green streak is part of it).
I can't see the hand but you'll probably need to delete polys there too.

thanks gort, that'll make implementing schwaa's advice easier as that you can't seem to select faces from .3ds files processed from .bin, i gotta find a better sound effect for this thing too.

I haven't tried other programs, but in Anim8or you'll have to Ungroup the object first (the Build menu).
Even if it wasn't grouped when it was exported, it will be now.

i've run into that, its that sometimes even then i have trouble, well, i've almost got it fixed up now, its just the face under the claws giving me trouble
EDIT: fixed it, now this is a nice blackjack, i shall smite thee when i find thee indeed, come get some mechanist.
this is the test mission, in the real mission it has the hammer model for the blackjack model and the name is changed to claw hammer.
