the demo is amazing, i absolutely love those bettles...
And the electrict animation on the lights is outstanding... WOW
but i can't see the ant model, why ?
i would to see also that ant moving but it's missed. :weird:
in this exact moment i'm checkin what was wrong... probably some settings 'cause i see many ant object modules on the dir...
edited now:
in the model of the map i edited the shape putting S_ant01 instead of S_antnew that i found by default.
And now i can see a masterpiece, a little ant that move and say hello to me standin up with a couple of arms... wonderfull

hmm...that's funny. In my (
http://www.darklurker.com/st/S_ElecLight.zip) break lights demo I had quite a few high polys trees, houses, lights,ect... everything around 1,000 polys +
Once I got about 5-6 trees on screen with everything else I got crashes in Dromed due to polys in que. It does happen, and it does happen from object polys. Once I deleted a tree or 2 the error went away and the error only happened with all of them on screen at once.
Yes, that seems to happen a lot if you have a lot of trees onscreen, I don't know why. Maybe it's something to do with too many overlapping layers of transparent textures?

I've noticed same thing...
Trees are problematic. I don't know why.
Inline Image:
http://two.xthost.info/dejan/drr.jpgYou can see 42 statues, with 1656 polys each.Dromed doesn't crash, but when I place 10 trees in same place, it's doomed.

I guess I didn't think of that, but yes, they did have transparencies and I do know that Dromed has always had a hard time with that.
(was 3:00 am. couldn't sleep :) )
Thanks sterlino. The ant was a last second fix, I had a really hard time getting him to work as the joint planes moved alot. For awhile he either floated above the ground and got stuck in it and wouldn't patrol.
I pretty much gave up on it along time ago. Digi saw it and told me it needed fixed, I looked at it one last time and thought 'why didn't I ever try this...." and it worked :D

How the hell do you use the UV map tool? Is there a way to move individual faces in that editor or are you stuck moving the whole object?

I don't know, I haven't gotten around to trying out texturing with Wings yet. Maybe tomorrow morning, I've been out of town and sick as a dog for the last four days.

I figured that part out, but can you rearrange the faces, or are you stuck with the "best-fit" arrangement and stuck creating your own textures around the geometry? It should be the other way around, right? (the bad thing is this is the only thing I never ever figured out in any other app, either)

You can do autoUV or just UV with a single poly.... or select, polys you need, to UV.
You can rotate, move, scale.... unfolded UV segment whatever you like.
You can also import, supported images and set them as your texture.

Ohhh ok I'll take another go at it. Last I tried I was only able to move all the polys at once.
