Don't forget to turn off the stove, fett.
(...you forgot, didn't you?)
Around Asheville was what I had in mind, too. And it's not that I don't expect a little bit of winter, I'm just sick of 5 or 6 months of it.
Also, I really like the Franklin NC area, but probably because I found an 86 carat (Honker, Baaaaby!) ruby at the Sheffield Mine. Kentucky is another area I'm in love with, but there's some pretty hardcore billies there, and I think I'd most of my time trying to murder them; and it's too hard to dig proper graves in the all that rock.

Stopped for a few days in the Little Rock area to visit family and friends. Tomorrow we'll make it to Nashville, TN, Thursday to Ronoake, WV, and into Harrisburg, PA on Friday.

I bet you didn't stop at Graceland or Hurricane Mills or the Rhyman or Hermitage or Pall Mall or Gatlinburg or even get a bottle of wine and just went straight through making everybody piss in bottles and eat crumbs from the seat cushions.
You make me sick. That or my guts extruding into my nutsack. It could be the latter.

Bah - did all that stuff years ago. We were anxious to get here so we can do New York, Niagra, D.C., Philly, and B-more.
So we're here, the digs are nice, everything went according to plan once we got the hell out of Arkansas. Expecting a huge snowstorm tomorrow night, which the boys are really happy about. Everyone's adjusting well. Christie went to the new hospital today and freaked out at how huge it is, but I know she'll do great on Monday.
I'd rather be doing this with my family than just about anything else. We've been working toward it for two years, so it's nice to finally have it all come together, even if we only do it for a short while.

Expecting a huge snowstorm tomorrow night...
I have family up from Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Maine. For most of my life, I wondered why they always came down here for Thanksgiving and Christmas, while we never once went up there. Finally, in the Winter of '96, the family decided to take a three week vacation up north to experience an actual white Christmas/New Years.
We found my cousin January 8th in a snow bank, looking like Han Solo encased in carbonite. Same facial expression and everything. It was crazy. He lucked out and lived, because apparently it got so cold, he ended up getting cryogenically frozen. All we had to do was thaw him out in front of the wood stove, and he was back to normal.
So Fett, welcome to the first day of the rest of your life.

Life is just one great big adventure to your type isn't it? Just one big ole crazy party with interesting faces and places without a stern responsible thought to dampen your sunny blithe and silly little disposition right? When are you going to grow up and realize that life is a test with hard pointy pencils and no eraser and teacher in a Nazi uniform stroking her pointer and scowling her sexy lips with those garter things peeking out of her short skirt?
DC was only an hour out of the way or so but I'm sure you wanted to get well and done of boring long long straight ass desolate 81 as quick as possible. Too bad you couldn't have taken the blue ridge through Shenandoa at a leasure. I've got to do a grinding stretch of it myself when I go to Virginia Beach in June. Be sure to take the boys by the Library of Congress fountain for educational purposes when you do go-
