I myself have ghosted almost every level, and I found that the "unique" levels such as the lost citedel and lost city are the easist. to me the cradle was the hardest (mostly because I was scared out of my wits and jumped at every noise, actually shot an arrow into a door by accident). anyways, what did you guys find was the hardest/easiest levels to ghost?

Should I be one to say what needs to be said ... or does someone else want to jump in here?
Well, I will say this.
First, welcome to the boards. It's nice we're still getting fans coming in.
A few thoughts, meant in the spirit of being helpful, mind you.
(1) Be careful with using that blue font. It looks very much like a hyperlink, so comes across as confusing. Seriously, I tried to click it when I saw it. A black font works perfectly fine. If you really like the whole color-font thing, at least consider a different (visible) font other than that blue.
(2) Also, all of the topics you brought up have been raised in other threads. It's a good rule of thumb to keep discussion localized in one thread than starting a new one.
(3) But actually, in the case here where you have started 3 new threads, I think the best way to go about it would be to just start one thread with three thoughts in it. That way you get to say everything you want to say and keep it all in one thread, so it doesn't take up much space on the front board. And it will get a better reception. And it just keeps things tidy, which is always appreciated.
On your point here ... I can say the hardest to ghost for me was Return to the Cathedral. I could never do it. And the easiest, hmm, Lost City (well, there are so few AI there, it shouldn't really count should it?), maybe Baffords, because I've just played it so many times I know it frontwards and backwards.

In TDS, I found all of the missions about the same ghostwise: 90% of any given mission was pretty easy to ghost, but there was always one annoying place where ghosting was basically impossible. St. Edgar's Eve was probably the easiest by a small margin. Killing Time sticks in my mind as having 2 or 3 tough spots, so maybe that was the toughest.
For the entire series, Thieves' Guild and Return to the Cathedral seem toughest. Thieves' Guild has annoyingly sensitive AI; RttC has that zombie-packed section of the dormitories that you need to go through several times. Soulforge is also pretty difficult; at least, I always mess up a few times trying to ghost that one, although that's probably largely due to fatigue & just wanting the damn thing to end.

Slight off track question. In Soulforge there is a big open area with two large vats in it. There is a lift to a mezzanine type level which leads to steps up to a transmitter. By the lift is a parked combat robot. How do you ghost that one? As soon as I get on the lift it spots me.
Thanks

Ahh, let me think; it's been awhile, but:
You don't need to get on the lift at all. Look up. See the iron beams criscrossing the ceiling? You'll want to be walking along on top of those.
Now look across the room from the lift. There should be a big pipe coming out of the wall quite high up. That's the way you need to enter this room. To do that, leave the room (if you're on the ground in here facing away from the lift, I think you need to exit to your left). You need to go back through a few rooms you've probably already been through and find a place where a big bot and a spider bot are patrolling a hallway. A few iron pipes come down in this hallway; find one with a ladder, climb it, and explore around up there in the ducts until you come out in the big pipe that overlooks the room with 2 vats and the lift.
Once there, look up and see how you can get across to the platform on the other side of the room. Watch out for the metal watcher!
Excellent thanks.

But there are some levels that are impossible to ghost, for example, the museum, after you take one of the Artifacts, the guard will soon be alerted, any way to avoid this?
CountMRVHS on 15/7/2006 at 14:35
Nope. In TDS you need to have new criteria for ghosting or it is literally impossible. As I use my own criteria for ghosting anyway, it doesn't matter: for example, I just don't consider those 2nd-level alerts to be a bust. I mean, you can't *not* steal stuff. My rules are, I try to get through the mission without being seen, 2nd level alerts are ok, no KOs, keep equipment use to a minimum, and no reloads.
I don't know if there have been any "official" ghosting rules made with TDS in mind; specifically to cover the issue of AI noticing missing loot.
Although, to be fair, the AI will notice missing loot in Undercover.... but trying to ghost that mission under *any* criteria is impossible.

You can buy fake artifacts from a local pawnshop - Old Quarter's I think.

Oops, I forgot that...
