That shouldn't be too hard. (
http://forums.eidosgames.com/showpost.php?p=718789&postcount=2) Here's a list of all FMs that have been proven to be ghosted. We could start with classics like the "The Seventh Crystal," "Saturio Returns Home," CoSaS' "Gathering at the Inn" etc. or with newer FMs that have just been released. I could lean towards either. And I think it's fine if a mission can't be ghosted. Failures make for interesting stories.

Start a new thread! :)
For what means myself, I leave you the choice, I would not know what to choice, even if I've already played CoSaS (greast set of missions!)

I hope you old hands will let the newbie ghosters in on some of your devious tricks such as keyholing, elevatoring, staircase building, nudging, and banner transmigration.
Most of the old links don't work now - perhaps one of the experts could do an update?

Using G and g is just plain stupid. Of course, you know that already.
You know, when I suggested Ghosting and ghosting I was being genuine.
It might not seem like it but it was actually a mark of respect.
I have a lot of respect for you guys over on the Eidos forum, your commitment to ghosting and your drive has kept things alive over there.
Ghosting has become a generic term and some of the things that get suggested in the name of ghosting are absolutely ridiculous and unjustifiable.
But also it seems some people are quite genuine without sticking absolutely to the rules. (see Dussander)
It just seemed to me a convenient short hand to show that people either just snuck about as best as they could, or followed the structure laid down in the ghosting rules.
And I agree that if there is to be a comparison it needs a structure.
But people will and do talk about ghosting on a more general way.

The style of sneaking I play (haven't referred to it as ghosting as it may be outside the rules) would be:
* TG/T2: Not to be seen or heard in a way that results in AI going into search mode or making comments that they have discovered you
* TDS: Not to be seen or heard in a way that results in AI drawing weapons, running away or making comments that they've identified you. But, minor searches are allowed i.e. in response to an open door or missing loot, as long as the search is very brief and doesn't invite others to search
* No alarms raised, but yellow watchers are allowed as long as it doesn't tip off other AI and the watcher doesn't take an extended interest (in my view, it's like a level 1 alert)
* No damage taken or received, no hitpoints should be lost by falling unless it's unavoidable in the mission
* No knockouts allowed, including chemical
* Rats and spider alert/damage allowed - 'cos I hate the little vermin, but I try not to on most occasions
* No potion use (speed, invisibility), health and breath potions frowned upon
* No door bashing or lock breaking
* Not a necessity to return objects
* Mission must be on expert difficulty, and all primary objectives must be achieved
* Loot maximum unnecessary
* No flashbombs or mines, scouting orbs allowed as long as they are not in plain sight
* Banner damage allowed, but avoided (reload if there's nothing to gain behind one)
* Water arrow and moss arrow use allowed, but to a minimum
* Rope arrows can be left if unobtainable
* Noisemaker arrows prohibited, but fire arrows allowed if the mission requires it (as long as no alerts)
* No walkthroughs, but hints and help on the forum OK

LOL. Well, it seemed like a take-off to me. Anyway, if there is no different sound when spoken and if it is spelled the same, then to me it is the same word.

Ghosting that level seems like hell to me. I am curious if it even si possible...
If you ever will succeed ghosting it, I would love to see a vid of it.
I've Perfected it.
(

A video would be too tedious. I mean, it takes a long time with the reloads and all. I spent over 7 hours on Guild. I have no strong desire to do it again.
If you think Thieves Guild is bad, try Escape. I reported that on page two in the above link. I would not recommend that sane people try it. ;)
Smith sits back and waits for people to take the bait.

A video would fill discs of raw footage and require clever editing to preserve the gist of the experience, otherwise, I like the idea of videos showing how to ghost just the tricky or seemingly-impossible areas, while also briefly pointing out which areas really are impossible.

FYI, following are your departures from the ghost rules:

Yellow watchers are a bust. Chirps while green are allowed.
* Rats and spider alert/damage allowed - 'cos I hate the little vermin, but I try not to on most occasions
Busts. Rat alerts are an exception.
* Banner damage allowed, but avoided (reload if there's nothing to gain behind one)
Bust. In most cases it is possible to frob an item behind a banner or to find another route.
