Maybe I'm fooling myself, but I don't remember having any difficulty getting in or out of the throne room via the balcony. :confused:
Can't you just mantle back up onto the top of the throne and from there onto the balcony? Or am I remembering the room wrong?

You're fooling yourself, that's impossible. And you cannot hang on the throne without being noticed too.

What's impossible? Mantling onto the throne and from there onto the balcony (I know that's not impossible), or doing so without being noticed? Is there some guy looking at the throne at all times? I seem to remember he moved around a bit?
I don't particularly enjoy this mission, so the last time I played it I rushed through on normal difficulty. I'm not sure whether I'm correctly remembering the room as it is on expert.

I'll have to go back and retry, but I'm pretty damned sure that on my last playthrough of Thief 3, I managed to ghost that part. Not easily, it took many, many tries. But I'm fairly sure I came down from the balcony, got the crown, and managed to sneak out of the main gate without alerting the Kurshok.
