No need to mantle the throne. Just moss the chandelier and hop onto it from a balcony. Then hop back.

DJ Riff did it the same way as me and I'm positive it is ghostable.

Is it even possible to ghost T1? I seem to remember an excess of zombies in some levels. :)

It's possible. One only has to change the rules of ghosting to meet whatever personal definition one has.

I have ghosted most T1 missions with the original rules. As I recall, Lost City is the only one I have never done (spiders at end). In the Bonehoard, the problem is not the zombies but the fire shadows. In Return to the Cathedral, the "committee" made an exception for grabbing the eye.

Ghosting T1: I think the only mission that can't be ghosted is the "Maw of Chaos," owing to a problematic red spider. For me, "Escape!" is the most difficult mission that I've ever attempted to ghost, but it can be done... with hundreds of reloads.
Ghosting T3's "The Sunken Citadel": I also followed DJ Riff's method of reaching the crown via the balcony and mossing the chandelier. It's possible to get the crown without the stationary kurshok below seeing/hearing you, but after the crown is taken, multiple kurshoks (including the stationary one) throughout the zone will be invariably alerted. In my experience, after the crown is taken, two or more kurshoks run out of the throne room and start hunting for the player. And they never actually calm down. I remember watching one hunt around with its weapon drawn for twenty minutes; it never stopped searching. This leads me to believe that some kurshoks are scripted to remain permanently alerted after the crown is taken. Does anyone concur with that?

Yes, I've found the same thing, I copmletely agree. Too bad that I've damaged my quicksave with accidentally pressing the F10 key when testing with T3Ed, so now I have to replay the entire level  HELL!!

I went back to check my records. That was my experience in Maw as well.
