After baffords, soulforge was the first level i ever ghosted. It was so long and easy which it mind numbingly boring, barely any guards etc etc.
Soulforge was a poor final level to T2.

The only mission I haven't ghosted so far is "Thives' Guild"
Ghosting that level seems like hell to me. I am curious if it even si possible...
If you ever will succeed ghosting it, I would love to see a vid of it.

I ghosted the Guild once, it was the most miserable Thief experience ever. I normally enjoy the thrill of avoiding detection but this mission just killed the fun, metal gratings left and right, lights in all the wrong places, and a abundance of well-positioned guards, not to mention the fact that all the entry level AIs have ridiculously good eye sight (I swear the cook in the kitchen is impassible, I had to hold the front door open to dodge her). I don't envy you trying to play through it.

So guys I want to ghost run thief 1,2,3, fraps it and post it on youtube. Now I know the basic rules of Ghost running, but I've never done it. What I want to know is if you guys would like to see something like this or not. Also what other rules do you want me to follow?
A little about me I'm 17, male, and have been playing thief since I was about 7-8(Dad got me into it) I'm new so........
Hi
Ghosting is the best choice! :thumb:
I just watched some walkthrough there, and I was disappointed because it wasn't in ghosting.
Do it, and I will be surely happy to watch them!

I asked this once before and got snobbery:
Has anyone done any Speed-Ghosting? I know, it's contradictory, but I guess Ghosting to meet only the minimum objectives, and taking every shortcut possible without detection, would be what I'm asking about.

This in the average cases would be impossible, jtr7. You cannot ghosting and also go like formula 1 without being caught.
Anyway: I took a look at the Ghosting rules, and I don't agree with this one:
"
9. No loot cheats or walkthroughs are allowed -- a point of honor that cannot be enforced."
So, in further posts, if I mention ghosting, I could have used the walkthroughs, because this isn't fundamental in the ghost concept.

Oh. Well, since that's the case...
I'm more awesome than I thought I was, if I do say so myself.

My own type of ghosting includes these rules and with them you can ghost almost every mission in the series:
-Highest difficulty
-No damage dealt ("Running Interference" exception= 8 dmg, "Kidnap" exception= 1dmg)
-Enemy never detects the player ("Hahaa, there you are!")
-No permanent property damage (Doors or banners broken)
-No tools left at site. (Rope arrows, scouting orbs etc.)
-All loot than can be acquired without alerting enemies stolen.
-Optional: Invisibility potions should only be used in 3 places*
-Optional: No food or equipment stolen (Professionals only take valuables)
Using these rules you can use distractions to draw people away from place you need to get to (Karras' Office in LoTP) but the enemy can never know that it was Garrett who stole everything because no-one ever saw anyone. Also leaving very little evidence is a good thing.
*Getting past metal child in "Life of the Party", kidnapping Cavador in "Kidnap", Getting to "Cap'n Mah'kham's scurvy trezah" in "Precious Cargo". :p

While I occasionally try for more, I generally hold the same standards as Platinumoxicity with the addition of attempting to avoid using distractions as much as possible.

So, when shall we see such a noble attempt?
