Sound is easily Thief's strongest element. Ok, well, besides maybe plot. ;]
I spent two hours listening to disc 1 of T:DS's sounds. :| It's difficult deciding which is better: the voice-acting or the ambient sound. I might have to go with the latter. So atmospheric.

You should be able to find that by searching the forum, Dreadlord. Someone once mentioned that it's a reversed copy of some Viktoria speech...I think it's her speech during the "eye-plucking" cutscene.

That's what the apparitions in TDP (the see-through priest guys who cast skull projectile spells) say. I don't have TDS so I can't imagine what the haunts (skeletal Hammer soldiers) might say, but in TDP they talk about flames and souls. It's no use typing it out for you, as it's been addressed in here many times.

Yeah, I was thinking of the Apparitions... speech from the DS Haunts should be easily findable in DXIW Sound Drone.

If you have the PC version, you can install (
http://members.home.nl/m.r.visser/DXIW_Sound_Drone_v1.0_BETA.exe) DXIW Sound Drone, and point it to:
[game folder]\CONTENT\T3\Sounds\SchemaMetafile_HardDrive.csc
Sort by filename and scroll down to the HH1_*.wav files - those are the Haunt sounds. HH1_idle1.wav - HH1_idle6.wav are the ones you're probably interested in.
It's still difficult to decipher what's being said, and would take someone with better audio skills than me to dampen out the moaning and bring up the whispering. "Fireworks...", "...died for.", "...belief." is about all I can make out.
