I had this crazy idea to try to kick the pagan sapling to the pagan sapling place, rather than actually pick it up and deliver. So I knocked it off the top of the crates and spent a ridiculous amount of time pushing it and running into it in an attempt to move it into the pagan territory in the docks. (Ok I was bored)
Sometimes when I was ramming it against the wall, the screen would switch over & say “do you want to leave the docks and enter old quarter” every time I would select “no” I would instantly die. So one time I selected “yes” and it sent me to old quarter! Way before I should have even been allowed to go there! There were no NPCs anywhere. No guards, hammers or enforcers, I pretty much just walked around an empty city. Then I tried going to fort ironwood, almost completely empty as well and almost no loot inside the church either. I was also able to access auldale, and there were only 1 or 2 guards and pagans in the entire city...I killed them, and their corpses never disappeared, and nobody new showed up. I was having way too much fun until I tried to leave, at which point I knew I was screwed. I could only leave from old quarter, which leads to stone market or the docks. In both cases, I would end up inside that part of the city, but behind the iron gate which has a sign about no entry due to quarantine. So I was trapped behind the gate on the wrong side, and unable to get in. as it stands right now, I have been able to push the sapling about 90 percent of the way, up the stairs, into pagan territory, into the first little room with the bed, right before the room where you are supposed to bring the sapling to, but I have not been able to push it any further yet because it keeps killing me for falling off the end of the level or whatever...

Nice! I love hearing about breaking the game!

Well, it does work, because I tried it. I was kicking it about in 1st Person, and I decided to kick it about in 3rd Person, and I got it the first try. I went to Old Quarter, and there was no one there, not even a hammer nothing. I went into Fort Ironwood, and there were only Zombies in the Graveyard, I didn't check the Crypt yet, but I will. Went into Auldale, ever guard was in the right spot, and the Pagan's guarding the entreances to the Park where there. Hmmm... pretty cool discovery. I went into the Fence, and it froze :(
Anyways, this does work :p

You're lucky. Few few times I managed to break continuity I ended up passing through a portal that was still blocked on the other side and ended up trapped.
A nifty find. I'll have to try it. It's always amazing what you can achieve when you're messing about being silly :thumb:

On your first trip to Auldale, go to the left, up the stairs and CLIMB the pillar that supports the arches on the veranda. You can go right up INTO the stone work of the arch.
And standing on top of the pillar you can look through both sides and right and left of the stone arches.

i pushed the sapling all the way to the circle, &, obviously nothing happened.

Awww, somewhat anticlimactic, yet a cool unintended consequence.
Let's play "Kick the Sapling!"
Say, that's my kind of glitch! For when I want to explore (a good portion of)The City unhindered without loading it into T3Ed first.
Azal should have some fun with this.

You musta have been very bored to try that :D
On the other hand, I'm always interested in all those discoveries you people make, time-consuming though it must have been to think of them

Could you please specify exactly the place, where you did it? I tried to kick that tree to some walls of the level, but every time I was sent to Abysmal Gale, instead of Old Quarter. Or should I try do this after the ship disappear? But I think then it'll be usual Old Quarter with all NPCs taffin' there

Well! That's TWO locations! I wonder if it's random or controllable? It would seem a freaky coincidence if it will only transport you to locations with major manifestations of the undead, past and present.:wot:
:p
