TBH i Dont remember the music. It had been a pretty large gap of years between playing the original version (owned by a friend) and buying the remake for myself ... (to play on another friends gamecube:rolleyes:)

I liked the cutscenes. Snake is the best fucking soldier alive, so why couldn't he do some of that shit?
I don't know...maybe because it defies both logic and physics?
Just because a game has psychics, cyborg ninjas and giant robots doesn't mean it has to go entirely off the deep end and be FUCKING STUPID.
They should have called the remake "Mountain Dew Solid: Radical Espionage Action" for it's X-treme factor. That's the type of shit you expect from Devil May Cry or a Uwe Boll movie.

I agree that Wii and horror just doesn't sound like a good match.
I keep having this image of little Mii's running scared in the background of the game.

The Twin Snakes was a massive improvement over the original game. Also I knew what I was getting into in regards to the cutscenes, because I had seen at least one Ryuhei Kitamura film before hand. His first, Versus, is basically Evil Dead 2 meets Devil May Cry.
RE: The individuals whining about Gamecube exclusivity, the Wii has pretty much 95% backwards compatibility - your excuses have dried up. The huge handful of terrific core gamer titles for Gamecube more than make up for the lack-there-of on Wii.

Harry is moved using the control stick, the Wii remote is used to aim the flashlight
When you look at something Harry will vocally respond
No load times
The Wii remote acts as your cell phone, and the static noise comes out of the Wii remote speaker
Combat has been removed from the game, you can only flee
When the monsters chase you the Z button will allow you to break through doors, climb fences, through windows etc.
Looks like they are going for stealth. I'll be all over it regardless but this could seriously rock.

Or it could be a quicktime event interactive movie. I'm not sold yet.

It's rather annoying seeing insane over the top martial arts & acrobatic moves in cutscenes, only to be stuck with the same old "punch punch kick" combo when you're actually playing the damn game. I mean, if you're going to make Snake like Jet Li in the cutscenes, why not take the time to try & improve the hand to hand combat as well?
Also, the music didn't quite have the same atmosphere as the original.

Monster Hunter 3 better be awesome or I am going to smash my Wii into itty bitty pieces.

Haha, you have to admit the Wii has cornered the market on gaming for emo pussies.
doesn't mean it will be so bad, though. Horror could be done well without fighting. Think about a movie like Alien; there wasn't much actual fighting.
