Since you had to bring it up. It's true. There were women in Thief's I, II, and III. Come on now (Vincent)...

"Don't mind me ladies, just passing through."
Vincent probably wanted a satanic orgy to break out in that room.

Hey guys Halo could have been so much better. Let me explain:
The Master Chief stands tall... the sun shining over his back. He raises his gun and aims it majestically at his foes. A grunt shrieks as the scope is lined up with his beautiful forehead. The grunt (which is female because halo didn't have enough women BLARG) erotically takes a step back. The bullet whizzes through the air. Everything goes silent, and the bullet enters the grunt's head perfectly and um... sexily.
See how much better it could have been? Don't games sound much better when I add fifty billion adjectives for no reason and hide some porn in there?
Edit: BTW Shaun of the Dead is the best zombie movie I have ever seen.

Lets be objective and analyze the game structure with method...
First of all, when i said that there werent any women in thief 3, i was refering to MAIN characters. Characters that have dear influence on the primary plot. Lets see... the game starts very auspicuously, with the appearance of who, in my opinion, could be a very interesting addition to the thief world: Lady Elizabeth. But she only appears on the first two missions, I guess... or even only on the second. Going foward... i think we can state Diana, Victoria's worshiper. But her sway is insignificant... as we can easly regard...
..Diana is followed by Caduca.. right? Althought with a physical appearance of a human, her mind was possessed by a beast... a woman... right.... for me on the concept of woman resides some other characteristics... we have the hag... I believe i can raise the same critic there. The next one is that child... too young!... a child that age is neither a woman or a man. Is an infant. its not sexualized.
We got then those multiple sellers... I kinda liked one more than the others.. :) i dont remember her name... but she seemed cute, agreeable.. loll, everyone would be capable of understanding that the autograph asked for was meant to be hers, probably treated with religious care once acquired..
We have fences... but come on!... Women as fences? I can hardly imagine them as sellers, its insane to picture them as fences... it would be unlikely, given the valours transmited mainly in the 1/3 of the Metal Age......
Am I missing any?... the fact is that I was talking about principal elements, the ones that have great impact on the story process... and in Deadly Shadows, no women have that kinda of weight... not even close.

To be honest, I always found the Thief zombies much more frightening, then the movie zombies. Even though in Thief there was no real gore. in fact I when I watched "Day Of The Dead", I had to laugh most of the time, because it was so cheap and stereotypic. Don't know if that is a sign of me becoming to jaded, but somehow I can't take this kind of movies seriously. The Ring was much more frightening, even though it had not much of gore.
yes, agreed in full. psych-horror when done right always has much more of an effect. and i reiterate, NotLD is very different compared to pretty much 99% of zombie movies created after. the only exception i can think of is 28 days later, and again that turned out to be more human drama and less focus on the zombies.
while we're on the subject of the undead, can anyone name a zombie movie that actually scared them?

And i may add... i am not trying to formulate inane critics about the series. Its one of the best outthere... I am just mentioning that the basic concept could have been exploited in some other way...
..i am not saying my "notion" of thief would be better. I believe it would face serious banning issues, a minor fan base, and severe critics...
..but come on!... It was painful seeing that, although the premise was mantained, the game changed deeply... the Dark Project had fabulous ideas. For example, main characters design was eventually worthy of perpetual admiration. Garrett, Constantine.... Viktoria!... how everlasting u are!.... were briliantly thought. When we actually regard Deadly Shadows, we notice how the art work lost its creativity. Its a mere, insignificant example.. from myriade of modifications that ocurred.
I was browsing throught this forum and noticed a thread about this gamer who enjoyed the first two, but wasnt convinced by the third. Its comprehensible. Those twists that were so impressive, were left behind on 2004 title... some eerie material put aside... well.... it got worse...
I am complaining... of course i am! At least on the first editions, if we let imagination roll without restrictions, we could actually feel an enigmatic, so understandable yet perilous affection generated by so uncomum events.. in a protagonist who was softned by habile minds... ..and bodies.......
I have to say... this type of ingredients are imperative for me.....

OK, that's it Taffer! You've gone too far this time!!!!!
Thiefs I and II had a female for the third main character! Victoria. Part III I think Had two female main characters towards the end somewhere down there.

Vincent_21 wants female characters he can get all hot and bothered over, clearly. Quoting from above:

Vince isn't so much interested in having female main characters as having some digital mammaries to ogle, hence the creepy sexual fantasy he described in one of his earlier posts.
