I hope Vince is older than 14, I'd hate to think that kids at that age or below are so depraved.

I think there are ample indications to the violence in the game. What you are suggesting, Vincent, is just giving everything on a plate to the player. Showing a sobbing woman for example? that would require either a lot of patience on the part of the player or a huge number of unncesessary cutscenes. You don't suggest how it should be done you're just throwing in images of what you have in your head. Besides do we really need all this while we have wonderful bits of reading thrown around all the game? The lists of the punishment for the imprisoned in Cragscleft for instance - that is enough to stirr imagination. My point is that more the player uses their imagination the better the experience of the game is, especially Thief. To make a blunt example: why is Garrett so mysterious? because his face isn't shown, we can use our imagination if we want.
As to the scenes you depicted before: I had a really good laugh at them I tell you. You said a woman should be sexualized in a game from what I gathered.(still that's hard to do, all these .... make your posts read like wading in a fog)
Question is...why the hell? you're saying that little girls shouldn't be present in games even if they're spooky? I don't get it. If we're on your track of thought, say why not make men sexualized as well and make Garrett bondage scene. No? because he's a man ahahaha.
I think Viktoria carries everything that should be there, some sex appeal (her human form) and strength, will, intelligence what else do you need? if you want to write a Viktoria porn fanfic feel free to make a Thief section at some adult fanfiction site.
About Marla character: I think she was a jab at Garret fangirlism imo and she was really hilarious.
Anyways it's hard to refer to your posts Vincent, really because of your tendency to contradict yourself. But judging by your portayal of women in your previous posts, are you suggesting all of them are sex demons waiting for Garrett to screw them? You say that you can hardly picture women as sellers- why they all of a sudden lack the brains or something? You don't know a single woman who can be successful as that? Anyway your posts drip mysoginism all the way. :weird:
I like the phrase "precious flesh" though. That is how much exactly a pound of it costs? :P:eww: is it possible to fence it?
Besides I have this strange lurking idea that one of the older forum member made a new account out of boredom and is having a good laugh at all of us, call me paranoid.:p
:bored:

I didn't think the third one sucked, and can't quite understand why people think that way. It had some flaws, but nothing that turned me off of it.
It is rather strange to me, too. I'd say I enjoyed TDS even more than T1 and T2.... Well... Different people, different ideas...

Not only that, many people didnt even want to give it a chance after the disasterous Deus Ex 2, it gave them predjudice opnions about the engine and the game (and i bet the so-called "hardcore fans" werent to happy that it was developed by Ion Storm either). I've yet to see any real arguments why it sucked, it's usualy "it didnt have rope arrows it ruined the whole game!" or "the controls were far too difficult for my fragile little mind" :cheeky:

You didn't really look very hard for postings adressing the individual problems right? I bet you just looked at the list of threadnames and thought "Oh my, nobody is adressing the problems really" and that was your research on that issue.
I know that there are NUMEROUS postings listing all the problems with a bit more substance to it than just "No rope arrows ruined it." But what can one expect from an "unbiased" fanboy"?
