Thank you for nearly dying just to give us a great story. One day I will break a hip for you. Maybe not my own but a hip nonetheless.

Hey, it's Snails's hospital story. I knew it had been reposted around the web before, but this is the first time I've seen it outside of where it was originally posted back in 2007. Always a good read.

Oh shit, the most comedic writing I've read on the internet for a long time, excellent, but you mislabeled Friday 13th as 12th, and a few misspellings here and there, but I can ignore that after all the laughs.
So all this didn't actually happened to him?

Are you a very religious person? You didn't first blame the Devil before God?

The 5 days post-surgery release from the hospital is a bit unlikely in the case of a
ruptured appendix and apparently a relatively complicated surgery, but the rest is quite realistic.
Well, more or less. You won't get visitor privileges taken away from you just because you're acting like a psychopath (unless you're showing signs of wanting to damage yourself or someone else), especially not as a short-term patient. And they won't take your stuff away just to punish you, and they normally aren't particularly interested in forcing you to eat the hospital food, too.
"Psycho nurses" you find all around the world though. The surgery wounds starting to bleed after such a fast release from the hospital is also no big surprise.
I still find it silly that someone develops this type of
"wah, psycho nurse wants to HURT me" paranoia just because some heparin injections though... He's probably entering a frenzy whenever someone tries to put a PVC into his veins (that's the needle in the arm).
Seriously, heparin injections are
harmless in comparison to what nurses are capable of doing to you. I even give these to myself each morning now to keep my port nice and thrombosis-free and I'm not going nuts because of that.
