I loved it, but then again I'm the target audience - semi-smart teenage filmgoer who's very into spectacular explosions, amirite? ;)

Yeah but Angry Joe likes Man of Steel.
He's also a self-admitted Superman fanboy. If he's doing a video and not wearing a specific costume, he's almost always wearing a T-Shirt with a certain logo on it.

Saw this last night, pretty disappointing. Not enough Godzilla is the main thing - isn't that what we came to see? Way too much time trying to develop a not-very-interesting plot. The whole story with Ford's character and his wife and kid - why bother? It was difficult to care about any of them when so many other people around them were getting crushed, mutilated, and killed.
There was a middle portion that was so dull (probably when they were making all the military preparations), one of my friends was snoring away. And there really should be a quota on how many times they can show Ken Wantanabe's face staring in amazement and awe and wonder at what was going on around him, wow that got old fast.
This movie needed more action, on the level of say Pacific Rim. And I'm not a real knowledgeable Godzilla fan, but why wouldn't they go with one of the more well-known badguy monsters, like Rhodan or Mothra?
Well, looks like we'll get a sequel in any case:

Not to mention Man of Steel is actually decent.

People living Godzilla and hating on Man of Steel?
What is going on?! MoS isn't fantastic but it's definitely good. It isn't crap, that's for sure.

Yeah, I just watched MoS recently too, and I liked it. Speaking of course strictly as a layman/non-comics nerd. I understand the points about a nonsensical plot devices and all that, but overall it was fun and kept my interest. Unlike Godzilla, which had me checking the time.

Man of Steel is an incompetently acted and directed piece of glossy shit.
Y'know, a Zach Snyder film.

Am I the only one who liked Watchmen?
(<---not a comics guy)
