Every Zack Snyder film is unrelentingly terrible. The DotD remake is probably the best of the bunch, which says a lot. Man of Steel os even worse than Godzilla.
Does anyone else get the feeling that Edwards was originally supposed to direct Cloverfield 2 and the studio changed their minds at the last minute and had him direct Godzilla instead? Seriously, the movie ignores Godzilla for these MUTO things that look exactly like Cloverfield:

It had some fun moments, but if Americans try making another Godzilla film, they should try doing it on no budget. Might end up being more fun and over the top and less bland.
