Oh man. If it lagged badly already, Fraps would only make it worse, but if it doesn't crash, that would be amazing.

You might try (
http://www.camstudio.org) CamStudio. Can't guarantee it works on win98, but you could try. XD

I should've remembered your other post about it, sNeaksie. Glad you brought it up, again.

Thanks, but the SourceForge page says it's for 2K/NT/XP only. :(

I finally managed to get Thief Gold. I had previous saves from Original Thief. I copied them to the Thief gold directory coz I just wanted to play the new missions. ;) Thieves Guild loaded perfectly. But I am unable to play Song of the caverns even though I have completed The Lost City. The game automatically loads Undercover. Help Please !!! I dont want to face mummies again. :confused:

If you want to play the new missions without going through the previous ones you can either start a new game and use Ctrl+Alt+Shift+End to skip ahead until you reach the desired level (maybe this will fix the problem) or otherwise there is an executable called Goldskip.exe in the gamefolder that will allow you to set one of the new missions as the starting mission (I think this changes some lines in one of the configuration files, so you could do it manually as well... do a search for it, something should turn up).
Also, you might not know about it but there is a "hidden" blooper mission you can load and play as well, great for a laugh (Oh, yeah and "little big world" in The Sword, definatly worth a look) :thumb:

The zombie AI in Thief Gold has been changed to make them much easier to deal with. In the original, zombies would get right back up after being knocked down. In Thief Gold, they won't get back up unless you stay near the body for a few seconds. Two overhead chops with the sword will put them to "sleep" and they'll stay down as long as you don't disturb them. Just run up, quickly back away as they swing, then run back and crack them on the head. Repeat and they go down. You can even run and jump over them without waking them up.
This makes doing the cathedral missions much easier. The abandoned city has plenty of room to knock them out in out of the way places. Also, there are enough supplies available to destroy all the zombies. Get them in groups and flashbomb them until they explode. In the second cathedral mission, you can lure the zomibies out of St. Yorba's and into the courtyard, then knock them out.

You should be aware that besides the three new missions, there are changes to the existing missions. The Lost City and Undercover now only contain one talisman each and parts of the Lost City have been made harder by the addition of more enemies. The Sword has had a whole new area added to it that's really fun to explore.
If you can't find the new area on your own;
In the garden, you'll find a room with two pillars on one side of a small stream and stairs leading up to a door on the other side. After going up the stairs and exploring the room, return to the pillars. Look for face on one of them with a hidden button and press it. This opens a grate in the stream. Jump in the stream and follow it to the new area.
