Enjoy it for what it is, I say. :D

Ok, I already ran into problems: I started a new game, watched the cutscene and when I clicked to start the training, the game just crashed. I'm running Windows XP professional 32-bit, SP3

I set affinity to one core (I have a Q6600) and it worked. Also, I'm still waiting for mods/upgrades/patches/fixes/addons/tips/etc to get :)

Ok, I decided to reinstall and apply the patch (1.14 to 1.33). I patched it but then it game me this error: "Old file not Found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match.". How do I fix this?

Try reinstalling and forget the patch. Your version has been modified so the patch doesn't work. As far as I know, and I hope I'm wrong, a new patch hasn't been made for Thief 1. There's a similar problem for Thief 2, but an updated patch is available. Try proceeding with a clean, unpatched install.

I think it's easier to get laid than to get this game to work...
I tried installing Thief Gold, because it's more recent and fully updated. I install it, apply the ddfix patch, start the game fine and when I start the training, I can only hear the sounds, the image is all black. Should I go commit suicide now?
