Oh no, you fell for the bow upgrade prank.:erg: There is no "bow upgrade" in thief.
Repeat: There is not a bow upgrade within the original game.
HOWEVER, I will tell you that Dark Arrow created a bow upgrade, if you wanna call it that. It was more of a demo thing, and only works in one level.

Money does. There are two missions later on that are back-to-back and inventory is carried over from the first to the second, but sometimes weeks or months go by between missions. Learn to be efficient and you will master the game, rarely needing to use equipment, but it'll be there just in case.

Damn, this game is a freaking maze. I don't remember Thief 3 being like this. I like exploring as much as any other guy but this is ridiculous. It's still better than Arx Fatalis though...
