No, not solitaire, bitches.
It's already feeling like a slack-o-rific Friday, and I'm looking for fun game to play at work. Keep in mind, this is a work computer, and around here that means circa 2007 and it's capable of running Outlook, MS Word, and a browser, hopefully at the same time. Obviously sound can't have a major role in the game since I'm trying to be somewhat discreet.
One good example is Nethack, I've fired that up a few times. But I'm looking for something different today.

I like little low-key turn based strategy games like dice wars or OpenFracas or TripleA for situations like this.

(
http://www.skrillexquest.com/) Skrillex Quest?
AV Club describes it as "A Zelda-clone with Skrillex's music blaring along with other wub-wub sounds to give the gaming experience that certain dubstep
je ne sais quoi" Sounds good to me!

Sounds like the worst game ever to me :erg:

Just gave it a play myself. I managed to save Princess Skrillex and then we went to a wonderful party where Evil Blockhead Skrillex tried to TAKE MY LIFE but I defeated him. Then the game ends as Skrillex wakes up and realizes it was all just a dream. It wasn't bad! Second best game based on a musical act I've played after that 80's Blues Brothers platformer. And Moonwalker. Third best then. And Beatles Rockband. Fourth.
protip: in the Inn, ask for "Sexytime".

Thanks for the suggestion, however...

The fact that you'll be running it silent should more or less negate its biggest flaw.

Defcon's a good one. It even has a keybind to hide the game, and an office mode that makes the game progress over the course of a day in realtime. Along the same lines, Uplink would be a good choice.

Peggle. That is all.

Speaking of catbarf's recommendation of Defcon, anyone remember way back when games came with a 'Boss key' that mimicked a DOS prompt?
On topic: Binding of Isaac and N: Way of the Ninja, for deffo. Also, everything Nifflas has ever done.
