Heh, never even thought of that. I thought it was just a way to let people get the cheapest exchange rate for game prices if they wanted to be a teeny bit dishonest. Does this mean that GOG will now offer the versions of Fallout without invisible children, as long as you don't (claim to) live in Germany?

Everyone globally received censored versions of the Fallouts (either 1, 2, or both, I forget) on GOG, AFAIK. Since they were supplied with UK releases.
Big fucking whoop anyway, just download the decensoring patches from NMA.

Just a head's up for those like me who bought (
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/moto_racer_2) Moto Racer 2 from GOG, they have finally sorted out the problems with unavailable higher gears, and a patched version is now available for download. It's also on special offer at the moment, with 30% off.
It's quite a fun racing game that I can play for a few minutes on my netbook whilst waiting for a train or something. You get a lot for your money, there's lots of tracks in different environments.

I just bought the Witcher, I hear such good things about it with the Enhanced edition fixing all the things everybody hated about it on release. At 5 bucks I figured I might as well try it out.
I never use the GoG downloader since you don't really need it and I didn't want any extra programs on my computer I don't need, but the Witcher has 6 files or something like that and I didn't want to manually download them all. So I installed the downloader and I'm glad I did. As a dedicated client it is giving me more than twice the transfer rate than firefox is. I've never had a file download this fast this consistently. I'ts been going like this for 20 minutes without slowing down:

Today's new game is (
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/spellforce_2_shadow_wars) Spellforce 2, which I can definitely recommend. Whilst not being at all ground-breaking, I found it really good fun. Shame it doesn't come with the expansion packs, but it's still a good game. The lack of copy-protection is a bonus for me as the TAGES software on my previous copy (which I got free with my old graphics card) wouldn't work properly with 64-bit Windows.

Anybody have any clue what the hell the main webpage is referring to?
It doesn't even say it has an announcement to make, but that the location of their announcement is going to be "locked on" when the timer runs down in 5 hours.

Don't know, but if you hover over the countdown, there's a link to a page about something regarding a mysterious Dr. M.

They have an announcement with RED just before (I think) E3, where they reveal which big publisher they have got on board (it's either Microsoft, Lucasarts, Squareenix, Take2 and one that i can't remember). They have something like 25 games coming from them to GOG so it's quite big. It's all there in the other news -post they have. At least the countdown matches that.
