Sorry dethtoll, but you've popped it. Re-read Trance's reply, it's the most succinct summation of the problem.
I hate to do this, but: you're acting like Kolya, specifically the time when both of us had that discussion over Kanye's latest.

I'm so very confused as to where hipsters enter the equation.
By default ;) Sort of like Microsoft some years ago.
Earthworm`s case is rather clear - it doesn`t matter what the guy spouts because it`s a doggone cartoon platformer, total disconnect, no "message" . But it`s not always so simple, which is why I sort of stopped reading interviews and trivia about my 'heroes' some time ago. Somehow I want the author to stand for what he promotes (or what I think he promotes) in his work.
So I used to think Gene Wolfe is a genius & sort of a free thinker type. Nah - devout Catholic :/ Still a genius for me, but somehow this spoils things a tiny bit. Polanski - well,l I did enjoy his films more before I knew he`s a total hypocrite. But maybe thats because his earlier films were much better. Mel Gibson? I used to love Lethal Weapons/Mad Max, would still watch them, but now more likely to root for the bad guys :) So Coppola was in with the mafia/dictators when shooting Godfather/Apocalypse. Hmmm. What to think. I know, best forget about it - and yet it leaves a slightly queasy feeling...
I`m a dj and have been playing reggae/dancehall for years...but recently culled my collection after learning that the few leading dancehall artists are extreme homophobes, who use their songs to promote this bullshit, literally calling on gayslaughter. I sort of heard about it for ages, but didn`t know how serious this crap is up till I recently read up on it.
Ah, well, don`t know...it just ain`t always so simple as Van Gogh`s ear...or Earthworm Jim for that matter.

Sgt Hartman? On these pages? Ah, why the hell not, it`s the interwebs after all.
Explains all these "faggotry" flavoured posts rather well, amirite? ;)

The next one to post a one word reply, including, but not limited to "lol", "hippie", "lmao" and "turdburglar" gets some time off.
This isn't Moms-On-Facebook, people.

GOG is a good site that I like a lot, and I buy games from there. Many games, too many games. Don't you like GOG? What games are you buying on GOG this week, now that everything Interplay is on sale? Me: a lot.

Sadly I've already bought most of the Interplay games that I wanted, so my answer is 'few if any'. I miiiight get Battle Chess or Redneck Rampage but that would be about it.
Dunno if there will be other summer offers or if the reference to 'other Staycation packages' is just for more writeups of Interplay games, but so far so underwhelming. Interplay needs cash fast or it's going under, therefore it puts a big sale on.

Ditto.
There are a few titles which are vaguely tempting, but I think I'm going to pass. Redneck Rampage didn't do much for me in demo format, and I have a bunch more Blood still left to play. I might possibly pick up Fallout as an alternative to my CD version. Screamer? I can't help but think that the sequels were probably better, and I have those.
I expect most of the people who joined GOG when it kicked off with Interplay classics are probably in much the same boat -- we grabbed what we didn't already have. This is probably fairly awesome for the latecomers, OTOH.
