The funny thing is, this is great-retro gaming news and they managed to find the one way of making it disappointing, by making me think System Shock was coming. Their announcement on facebook was something like:
"coming soon, one of our most requested games, name begins with an S".
(yeah yeah I'll get over my LG fanboyism and buy and enjoy syndicate)

It wasn't a hazzle. I read the syndicate FAQ on GOG.com and downloaded one package which took three clicks I think. You're making bad excuses.

I'm sure there's no one reading this who doesn't own the game already, but it would be really great to see nevertheless.

If it is Thief, they will sell soooooo many copies! I would also be interested at a technical level to see how they "guarenteed" Dark working with modern graphics cards.

Per Gog's site, they're claiming that two "all-time favorite game heroes that will join the GOG.com catalog" and that they are "a standard in their genres." If the publisher is Eidos, I guess that would give us Garrett and...Lara Croft?

Well, the clue to one of them is: "Our Hero 1 is cold, solid, and a bit of a loner. Also, he "works" for a huge organization.". Not Lara due to gender and would suggest solid snake or agent 47.
