That made no goddamn sense at all. Even Trojan Man showing up would have made more sense.

Not seeing the reference to Valve there, but maybe I'm missing something.

The big, red valve on the back of the helmet possibly.

That comes standard with every suit of armor.

cue rerun joke about "good" and "old" no longer strictly applying anyway

The DRM-free angle is the only way GOG is going to be able to really differentiate themselves from other digital distributors now that they're no longer just about old games, thus the "middle finger" to Valve. Seems a bit lame to me — like a political campaign going negative.
I anticipate that publishers will be taking advantage of these new, higher price points to push the pricing of their back catalogs into the exorbitant. I can't wait.

See, GoG already has the critical mass that it doesn't necessarily needs to "differentiate" from other outlets. If they provide good catalog and deals they'll stay afloat. The constant "jabs" at the competition (such as the Valve middle finger in the armored knight video) only come off as poor taste imho; sadly, another one in a long line of marketing fuckups.
Strangely, though, it does not seem to have really affected GoG all that bad. I guess "there's no such thing as bad publicity" huh?
