I thought the gif was the only redeeming part of your post. I have nothing against the feeling of "I find him so stupid that he deserves such a post" but if you're going to assert yourself as superior, multi-layered sarcasm, logical reasoning pushed to the extreme, dry humor or non-sequiturs convey the idea much better than ridicule through ad hominem insults. And they're much more interesting to watch for everyone in the thread.
At what point was what I said an ad hominem? Moreover, at what point did I assert myself as superior, multi-layered sarcasm, logical reasoning etc. etc.?
The answer to both questions is neither. Did you actually read sneaksie's posts? He's been spouting nonsense despite everyone telling him the right answer. I told him he was spouting nonsense. He flips out, and blames me for his flipping out (despite the fact that, you know, his flipping out was his decision.) I make fun of him, because he has a habit of acting like I'm some kind of raging high school bully every time I tell him he's wrong, and blaming me for his getting upset over stupid shit.
Pretty simple. I don't know what you're looking for in my posts but I doubt your reaction would change no matter
what I post.

The sad part is he keeps fucking posting responses to mine and continuing the bullshit.
dethtoll:
Haha wow, you really misunderstand me. It's not a matter of getting pissed off and acting like a highschooler, it's a matter of defending myself against your continuous posts that attack me all the time. What would have been stupid of me is to not respond at all and let you get away with it. I already said in a previous post that I know businesses are there to make money. That's also a generalized statement, one which can be more valid than in comparison to a specific company, GOG. Not that you care what I have to say anyway, so with that I'm through discussing this with you.
Update
Actually you do act like a bully. Rather than say things in a constructive manner, you post gifs and attack me instead. Take Na'l 's posts as the more appropriate way to dispute what I say as an example. If you're going to pull the "don't take things so seriously I was kidding" card, then you could have saved yourself a lot of trouble and fucking made it more clear you were kidding. This is the internet after all, I can't exactly tell what your tone is. Since you like posting gifs anyway, you could have easily used some of the ones already on this site.
@zylonbane:
Thanks I'm not as smart as you or dethtoll. You have a superior brain than mine. Does that make you happy, asshat? Does it make you and dethtoll warm and fuzzy inside picking on people who aren't as smart as you (or at least perceived that way)?
june gloom on 3/4/2012 at 19:04
Except I wasn't kidding. That doesn't mean you have to flip out every time I tell you you're wrong. Here's a tip: try being wrong less often.

I don't mean to play Devil's advocate, but, yeah.....why not ignore him completely? Why the need to respond? "Getting away with it"? He's not a supervillian or such for him to have much to "get away with" save poking your ribs and calling you names. Nothing worth noting in my book, but that's just me. Just saying, dude. He's not "soiling" your reputation or anything beyond this thread. If even that.
Srsly. Don't give a fuck :)

sNeaks -- you're taking the internet too seriously. And while you've got a rather nice glass half full way of viewing some things, which is all too rare to find in the general human condition these days, it's still a bit blinkered.
If you want to talk about GOG's secondary motivations, DRM-free and goodies and good will are all fair game. The primary motivation of any enterprise that sells things is to make money, however, so that it a) sustains itself and b) makes a profit, so there's really no getting past that. Your arguing of what their primary motivation could be looks a bit childish in the face of this somewhat basic fact, and your tantrums at dethy baiting you aren't helping.
Let it go; stop letting the jibes get to you, because every post you make to snap back at them doesn't really help besides making you feel slightly better in the short-term. The long-term damage, however, is that you're not helping your case or people's perceptions of you any.

I was just talking to my father about businesses and one thing that I could have (and should have) done was to be more clear about what I was saying about gog. Really what I was talking about is the people behind the business. Sure, the business is there to make money (I'm not that stupid to ignore that or not understand that), but is the people behind said business there solely for a paycheck, or is it the case that they are doing it because they want to do good? My main point was that it's not so clear cut what somebody's motivation is behind something necessarily. I don't believe that everyone is in it for money (I should be clear on this too, I mean regarding anyone at a job and not just gog.) I think there's a mix of people who do what they do because they enjoy it and those that do it just out of greed or some other motivation.
So yes, the business, the entity is there to make money, period. All the people behind said business may not have that as their main motivation.
You guys have a point. I should just let it go but it's hard to do that. I know it's not fun for others in this thread who just want to discuss the actual topic instead of reading dethtoll's posts and mine. Anyway this is it.

(
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/fallout/) Fallout is free on gog.com for the next couple of days, incase y'all wanna add it to your accounts for no-bucks.
I gave it a play myself a few years ago, just before FO3 came out, and it was a mighty fine videogame indeed. Never finished it though, might give it a replay now.

Is it just me, or does every major update to GOG's site make it worse?
