The "bs drm" started with Asscreed 2. The first one was/is available drm-free in a number of places, to my knowledge, for a much lower price, too.
Also, it's a badly designed, repetitive game.

The only copy protection in AC was the usual easily-crackable safedisc cd check.

Fuck. Missed Fallout. I lost my discs for F1 and F2 in the fire. Oh well. Oh, Darkstone...I had a blast with this one. Very satisfying Diablo-type to play single player. Hell, even the console versions are worth playing. Loved the randomized dungeon and the whole '100 floor dungeon' theme.

Darkstone? What a pleasant surprise! I haven't played it in a while but I still have the CD ROM.
I'm curious what Gog has done for the co-op part of the game.

Theme Hospital is an excellent game, albeit the functionality of it's gameplay takes some ridiculous turns in the latter portion of the game making it nearly unbeatable, which is a shame. A forgotten aspect of this game is it's multiplayer, which was ridiculous fun when I played it back in the day - I am not sure, if it's just golden memories, but battling head to head with a friend on the highest speed setting was really fun.

Oh boy, Ultima VIII. I know people who still like it today. I know I kinda did - so moody! - but it's not a terribly Ultima-ish Ultima in terms of design or narrative.
Still a decent to good game in its own, isolated right. Anybody hackmoved Beren into the lake? That's one of the first things I ever did when I found out how to, (
