Dreamfall has been released. Glad I got a used copy to avoid supporting the devs last year. Also, way to keep the price in check, GOG. ($14.95)
At this rate, publishers will be charging 29.99 for vapor copies of old games in a few years. Has the cost of transferring bits gone up???
Also, @Funcom: Since you clearly have an official exe for this game that doesn't pester the user by making us put in a CD to play, how about releasing it to those that already bought your product before as an official patch? Or now, do I have to buy a game twice to get freedoms I should have originally had?

It's like observing an unfortunate combination of Asperger's crossed with Alzheimer's.*
Asperzheimer's? Alzperger's? Aspermer's?
*crossed with male menopause

It should be illegal to continue selling a product with so many bugs unless someone is actively trying to fix them. Hey Square, how about using some of the money raised by selling Thief DS to hire a coder to, you know, fix the game so that I don't fall through the level geometry to my death while mantling or get stuck in a floating pose?

Sounds profitable. Maybe they also can fix the 85000 other games that occasionally allow you and/or objects to clip through the level geometry, many of whom are far worse than TDS in that regards. Then again the only bugs I remember experiencing in TDS were less bugs and more poor AI design decisions.

Aaaaaargh. This is exactly the sort of thing why I suggested to BA that removing problem children would be a boon to TTLG. Go back to bed lost_soul.

@Jason: Please name one game that is "far worse" when it comes to clipping causing cheap deaths. I would love to see some videos. I've been killed by many-a-door in Duke Nukem 3D, but last I checked Eduke32 solved that problem for the most part. The developers of that game also did what they could by making it possible for others to fix those sort of issues.
Nobody expects bug free software. We had a discussion like this on the TDM forum the other day. Games are not like movies where the developers control every aspect of the experience. No matter how hard you try, there will still be issues. Just as long as these issues don't pop up over and over again while the player is behaving and not trying to actively break the game, everything is fine...
But when ordinary behavior like hopping a railing or jumping on a desk causes the game to freak out, its a QC issue. The line has to be drawn somewhere when it comes to acceptable glitches.
I've never fallen out of the world in an id game, and I've spent hundreds of hours playing them, including countless all-night matches.

Thief. Thief II would also be a correct answer. Of course in those cases they weren't bugs, but rather amusing features that we can all be nostalgic over.
The entire Mass Effect series has some quality getting-stuck-in-the-environment moments.
That's 3 games without thinking about it. Anything else.

I've never had problems like that in T1/2 either. The (very rare) worst thing was getting stuck in barrels in the occasional FM if they were placed too close together.
Then there was SiN, where the player can be damaged by fridge doors and the like. Annoying, but not a game breaker because it does 1% damage and doesn't cause you to lose progress.

I have got very stuck with the Dark Engine, most noticeably crawling through tight spaces or on a few stairs. The zombies and doors that float off to infinity in Thief 2 are amusing too but not deadly.
Anyway, (
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/carmageddon_max_pack) Carmageddon Max Pack has been announced, it's on GOG's "upcoming games" section. There's been a lot of people requesting this one over at GOG, so I will enjoy playing it for the first time when it is released.

Got to agree about Thief 1/2. I do a bit of fan mission testing and SHAS is relatively common.
