So tempting to get that to replace the crappy DRM-laden disc versions, but I'm still holding out for a Steam sale before I die. :(

I'm happy with my Steam versions. They stripped the stupid Tages DRM out of Steam Clear Sky (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=27178362&postcount=7) yonks ago. Thus the whole trilogy has no 3rd party DRM on Steam now.

Yeah, that's kind of what I'm holding out for. They had a surprise daily sale awhile ago but I haven't seen them discounted since, and no third-party sites seem to sell steam keys for them. It's also massively more convenient to have all of my games as part of my Steam library anyway. It would be nice if the prices on Steam were lowered to match the prices on GOG now.

I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with Steam like ~6 years ago that was ENTIRELY YOUR OWN FAULT because you didn't meet clearly defined system requirements of the service needing a broadband connection. Know that the service requires broadband, try to use it with dial-up, proceed to bitch about it. It's the equivalent of intentionally spitting into the wind and then complaining that it's the wind's fault.

Man, they're really churning out the releases recently.

<a href="http://www.gog.com/news/release_kentucky_route_zero_season_pass">Kentucky Route Zero</a> is up, and so are <a href="http://www.gog.com/news/release_red_faction">Red Faction</a> & <a href="http://www.gog.com/news/release_red_faction_2">Red Faction 2</a>.

I always meant to pick up Red Faction. I'm not expecting anything magnificent, and it always sounded like the Geomod stuff ended up kinda under-utilised (or at least not nearly as general-purpose as you'd hope), but it still sounded like fun. My recollection is that the second one is supposed to be a bit rubbish, so even though there's a combo discount I figure I'll just get the first one, unless you guys convince me otherwise?
