Same here, especially with mouselook and the like. (I know there was a mod for this, but I never got around to checking it out.)
I think this may just be what I'll play once I'm done with Phantom Pain. (I.e. some time around Christmas 2017.)

I think I'm happiest to see Freedom Force there at last. The sequel's been there for so long, but never the original.

Aw, yeah. Rogue Entertainment's
(https://www.gog.com/game/strife_veteran_edition) Strife is now on GOG!
(

I loved that game. Apart from some mazes -- mazes suck. The rest makes up for that many time over, though. The best commercial use of the Doom engine ever, for my money -- certainly a
FAR better game than I'd ever expected when I first played it.
edit: So one of the comments says:

Also, way to give away 90% of the plot in the trailer. =\
If you've no idea whether you're interested in this game, maybe go looking for video footage elsewhere...
edit 2: Both the original game and the (
https://www.chocolate-doom.org/wiki/index.php/Chocolate_Strife) reverse-engineered "veteran's edition" are included. Supposedly there was a Steam release with only the new version. Various Doom source ports added Strife support in the past (all fairly heroic efforts -- the source code was never released), so you should be able to play it however you prefer. (n.b. Somewhat oddly, the original version is installed to the game directory as a "strife-dos.zip" file, rather than a separate download.)
edit 3: Native Linux support (as you'd expect for this, but still), and it runs beautifully for me.

Having already finished the original DOS release and just watched the trailer, I don't think it gives away anything of consequence. But your opinion may vary, of course.

Well here's a thing: (
https://www.gog.com/connect)
This feature will (apparently) list an often-changing set of games which, should you have them in your Steam library, GOG will add to your GOG library as well for nothing. On request, I presume. And only if you opt-in to the service by linking to your Steam account, naturally.

Has anyone actually gotten it to work yet? I've been trying for the past day or two and it just times out.

I dont really see the point myself, I am happy with Steam, it works and I dont particularly care about the drm issue. Just seems like a lot of extra work. Keep in mind that I do have a GOG account, but I just dont need an extra service clogging up my pc.
