Late to GOG.com - I was just using Steam because I was lazy, and Origin because I had to. I certainly like the no-DRM no internet connection approach.
I caved in and got Witcher 3 at 50% off, I think the Steam offer had expired. I downloaded all the installer files and then realised there was the Galaxy client  but it lets you add the game directories if you've done a manual install. Hurrah.

GOG is getting a store credit wallet soon. They just let everybody know via email.

GOG.com is wonderful. I fully support it.

I feel like GOG has pretty much had a continuous sale going for the past month or more. It's changed names and formats twice, but there can't have been more than a few days between each iteration, and I can't imagine the discounts being much different in any of them, otherwise users would get annoyed with them. These things always take a bit of effort to keep tabs on, so I actually wish they were having fewer sales... (which is a slightly weird realisation).

IF they're trying to nab market share from Steam, it makes good sense.

Hmm I wonder if they're reaching the breaking point of having enough games where now every day something ends up being on sale? Steam reached that loooong time ago.

GOG has had something on sale every day for quite a while now. Granted that has usually been a couple of somehow connected games on sale Monday-Friday and another theme for Friday-Monday.
