And many of these games aren't even that good. Like what?
Here are some others which got a pretty mediocre reception:
Dredd vs Death
Earthworm Jim 3D
F/A-18E Super Hornet (carrier ops aside)
Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader
Postal
Unreal 2
There are many others that I think I'd need some nostalgia to even contemplate (e.g. Blake Stone series), or simply pale in comparison to other alternatives -- such as their own sequels in some cases (Screamer, Flatout, Silent Hunter 2).

Yes, but are any of those considered bad games? Mediocre != bad.

Postal was pretty fun. Better than the sequel anyway.

Dredd vs Death is pretty decent, I have found. Basically being able to arrest anyone is a lot of fun, if only to see how many of them get convicted of hamster violations and suchlike.

Mega Race is notoriously horrible, from what I've read.
Car sprites trundle along over pre-rendered footage of tracks. You shoot your opponents a bit with minimal sense of interaction or involvement. Then watch cringeworthy video cutscenes. Then yawn.
It's basically a dead-end from the days when were were all excited over new-fangled CD-Roms and their multimedia potential.

Well yeah. Who said anything about bad?

To borrow a phrase, "Not even that good != bad."
Doctorfrog's point is very valid. It's not like you're being taken to the cleaners at six bucks each but not every game on GOG is gold. Pretending otherwise isn't great for your credibility.

I have been getting an astounding amount of play out of IL-2 Sturmovik with my friends. What was basically a challenging stressfest on my own is shaping up to be a massively fun and hilarious multiplayer experience.
It's between IL-2 and Painkiller as being the best ten spot I've spent on a GOG game so far.

Psychonauts for a tenner (US). Nice one, GOG!
