My machine wouldn't run Blood at all without NOLFB to fix the VESA support
Odd. I'm running the Retail, Non GOG version of Blood.
It runs fine. If you are getting choppiness with sound, try changing the CPU Core to 'Dynamic' and the Cycles to 'MAX'
I'm also using D-Fend Reloaded as a Front End for Dosbox if that helps.

I don't understand why you're subjecting yourself to all that crap, Shadowcat. The game works absolutely flawlessly through DOSbox. Is your hardware just not up to snuff to run it at playable speeds?
I offered him a much faster socket A CPU and extra RAM for free, but hew didn't even bother to reply. It must not be that big a deal to him.

bob_doe_nz: This is without DOSBox.
EU2: Mostly it's due to the slower hardware I'm using while my regular machine is dead, but part of it is just wanting to see if it can be done.

Sorry gunsmoke. I didn't completely forget (I kept a tab open on that page to remind me), but I did want to look up the motherboard specs before responding, to see if it would actually be a match, and I've not gotten around to digging out the manual.
I really appreciated the offer, regardless. I'll send you a PM to let you know.

Seriously love GOG.com i hope they never go away...
Got the entire Descent and Freespace series during their Space sim sale...
Still cant believe how well they work. I was expecting a nightmare.

No prob. If you need some assistance with compatibility, let me know. I was an almost exclusive user of AMD CPUs from (the year, not the model #) 2000 on.

Kickass! They released Blood 2 on GOG.com! I was considering sending an e-mail to the powers that be, asking them to do so. After playing the demo, I've wanted to play this game. Most used copies that I've seen though have been much more expensive. I will buy this right now.
Take note other publishers/developers: if you sell me what I want at a reasonable price without filling it with release date checks and other malware, I WILL buy it.

Blood 2? I thought that the site was called GOOD Old Games?

Blood 2 was terrible, but it gets bonus points for the Better Off Dead reference (which made it into a screenshot on GoG, too).

Awesome. Post of the day, EvaUnit.

What is so bad about the game?
