they are on the top of the wishlist sofar. sorry, I thought for a short time it would be okay to abbreviate Serious Sam with SS, ignoring the deep-rooted association with SystemShock on this board.
detholl's reaction seems to have been inapropriate just like any of his "replies" or "contributions" to threads have been when I made the mistake to read or reply to them back then. I would advise to put him on the ignore list because he seems to have all the time and motivation in the world to fight you - judging from quotes - in any way possible and imo it's not worth it on a gaming board.

On a semi-on-topic note, it would be nice if SS1, 2, and thief for that matter were on GOG.
If Thief:TDP appears on GoG I will buy five copies. Yes, five.
Alas, it will never happen as that would actually require effort on the GoG's part.

i read in a few interviews that they are aware of the demand and that they themselves know that it would be THE very definition of an good old game but as many will have guessed: LEGAL ISSUES
besides, the games still sell well so I doubt the rightholders will rush to put it on gog

Wow, that makes two, right?
How many people put dethy on ignore?
mothra on 5/8/2010 at 12:22
did it years ago. It's actually fun since I can imagine what he has written there and sometimes I see it in other's posts quoted and then feel only confirmed in my decision. I already hoped the temp-ban made him "cautious" and a "normal" thread is possible where there are more contributions than just pointing out wrong grammar or linking to funny pictures intended to mock a poster, not discuss something. I'd take EvaUnit's lecturing (which most of the time is accurate) over his tries to piss in everybody's mouth every day.

I love how for a guy who has me on ignore mothra can't help but continue being butthurt.

I'm definitely getting it if it appears on there even though I already have about 5 copies :) They would have to write something akin to DDFix to make it work on modern computers though. They have their own installers, so the "NT-fix" wouldn't be a problem, but DirectX and multi-core CPUs are almost always an issue for people.
I would have thought they'd at least
try and get System Shock 2 working on a modern PC, the wishlist has 13,000 people wanting it there, way more than the actual sales of some of their games. System Shock 1 has 9000, and it could happily run straight from the latest DosBox, so I guess they are just running into a brick wall with EA. On the plus side for Thief, Eidos have put Commandos on GOG, so at least they aren't opposed to putting some of their back catalogue on there, maybe one day we'll see Thief on there.
