I would suspect that Thief is probably still selling too well on the Mastertronic label for them to do that just yet, but it's very likely to happen in the not-too-distant future.

Perhaps, but I really don't think it's up to gog to make the first step. Maybe it should be, but look at this:

Business and press inquiriesIf you're from the press and you want to ask us some inconvenient questions or if you're interested in business partnership with GOG.com or you want to dust off and sell your rusty, old games via our service, use this contact form.
So it's a legal issue first and foremost it looks like. Someone from Eidos (or Square?) would need to talk to GOG about it I'd guess.

That's what I meant. Eidos won't bother if it's still selling via normal channels - and is probably licensed to Mastertronic at the moment anyway, so they'd have to wait for that to expire before even thinking about it.

Oh ok sorry. Thought you meant gog. We're really just playing guessing games though, so who knows what the real truth of the matter is. It might be that the fans need to contact Eidos to give them a nudge to do something about it.

GOG have just released Raptor: Call of the Shadows, which is the first GOG release to really hit me hard with nostalgia. I'd forgotten about it completely but I used to play the shit out of it when I was a kid. That and Tyrian, which from memory was better.

Maaaan, I loved Raptor so much I sent off to America to get the full version. Hrm, I wonder where it is ...

Raptor never captured me like Tyrian did.
Zerker on 10/8/2010 at 20:34
Well, Tyrian is free (from the developer no less), so you can fire that up in DosBox any time. Raptor is a good game for GoG to get; I may pick that up. I believe that Mountain King studios was still self-publishing that game for around $15 before it showed up on GoG.

Thank you for posting that, Brian! I'm getting it! (I saw that gamersgate had it, but i don't have an account on there and don't feel like making one. Besides, this is a better deal!)
