Back on track, lads, or I'm calling a mod.
Tsk....
So, any other Hasbro game to release before BG 2 or is that the next one? :)
Aaaaaaah.....lots of good stuff at GOG these past few weeks, eh? :)

Nope, it's only BG2.
And I don't see the need for policing this thread, considering it's not an expletive filled flame-fest. Mostly.

Yeah, this feels like one of the more significant sets of games released since the service went up, and it would seem a pretty safe assumption that BG2 is the final part of the sequence, and not "Barbie Fashion Show" (although that would be a slightly funnier joke than their last one).

This. I'm tired of this "you misbehavin' lads" nonsense when it's nowhere near the insane levels of bullshit like in a certain other thread that is gone now.

CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG NOW AND SING KUMBAYA!?
*Cries*
But, back on track: I soooo want BG 2 + expansion to get here...want to install the mod that makes the entire set of games one HUGE continuous adventure :)

New release today is (
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/space_rangers) Space Rangers, which I've never played. Is it any good? GOG say they are getting ready for a big up-and-coming release, here's hoping it's Thief or System Shock 2! (I know, I know, but there's no harm in being optimistic!)
Kuuso on 10/11/2010 at 13:12
I think it's either Thief or Splinter Cell, because of the teaser video being all thiefy.

Are you talking about the "Break in" video? If you are, that really doesn't tell us anything. Could be any game for all we know. I highly doubt it's thief, I dunno about SS2 though. Guess we will see.

I haven't played SR1, but I have SR2 and it's hard and awesome and completely mental. While the main game is sort of a very complex version of Strange Adventures in Infinite Space, the individual missions may take you into completely different games.
I'm not kidding.
Maybe you've taken a diplomatic mission. When you land on your host planet, it goes from a space trading/combat system into a pseudo text/choose-your-own adventure. Or maybe you got sucked into a black hole. Then it turns into a shmup. Then there's the war missions where you land on a planet and the game becomes an RTS where you can take over individual units and it becomes an FPS. The game just never stops changing.
If the original has even a small portion of the ambition its sequel has, it's well worth getting.

Actually, Thief is far more likely than SS2. And it doesn't specifically have to be stealth-related, no, but this is GOG we're talking about. Making the video thematically similar to the game they're releasing seems like something they would do.
